How the calculation works

Count = Mon–Fri days in the range — statutory public holidays for the region. Statutory holiday lists are pulled from official calendars (state/government sources). Cross-region differences are significant — for example, China has ~11 statutory holidays in 2026, the US has 11 federal holidays, the UK has 8 bank holidays, and Japan has 11.

FAQ

Why do workday counts not match official schedules?

China has make-up weekend workdays (make-up days) that this tool does not simulate. If a public holiday falls on a weekend, China typically requires a weekend workday to make up the total; this tool does not handle those make-up days.

Does it handle state/local holidays?

The US federal list is national. State-level and local holidays are not included; add them manually if needed.

Can it handle cross-year ranges?

Yes — the tool iterates day by day, so cross-year and cross-month ranges (including leap years) are handled correctly.
